Noth the Plague-bringer Official Geriatrics Strategy

On the Gerries first foray into 10 man Naxxramas we were successful in taking down this dude. Below is the strategy that we used that seems to work well.

The fight has 2 phases. Phases occur on a timer and not at any specific HP numbers. Boss mods are helpful (and surprisingly accurate) for this fight. Also, make sure everyone is in the room before the pull or they will get locked out.

Phase 1
During the first phase the boss is on the floor. Positioning follows standard rules for the most part with melee dps behind the mob to avoid parries and blocks. There is no AoE damage so the healers should be standing on top of the off-tank behind the mob. The boss will occasionally curse random people in the raid. These must be removed within 10 seconds or they do a large amount of damage. If no decurses are available it can be healed through, but is not advisable. There will also be adds summoned during the fight. They will be drawn to healing aggro which is why the healers are standing on top of the tanks. DPS should continue to concentrate on the boss while the off-tank tanks the adds.

Phase 2
In phase 2 the boss teleports up to a platform and starts summoning more adds faster. The adds should be killed as quickly as possible at this point. The adds will start doing an arcane explosion so ranged DPS will need to stay back to conserve healer mana. Healers should continue to stay on top of the tanks and melee dps and heal through the damage. Adds should be targeted in the following order: Champions, Guardians, others.

After some amount of time the boss will teleport himself back down and begin with phase 1 again and the cycle continues until either he or the raid is dead.
